A modern camping and environmental complex, is located on Sellers Lake in the Ocala National Forest conveniently close to Juniper Spring and Alexander Springs.  Modern sleeping, dining and meeting facilities dot the picturesque setting.  The Ocala 4-H Center is open to the public year-round and may be reserved for a variety of uses: School Field Trips, Church Retreats, Business Meetings, Family Reunions, Teacher In-Service, Athletic Groups, Weddings, Civic Organizations, and more...

Environmental Education

In addition to overnight camping, 4-H Camp Ocala also offers daytime field trips for school groups. The Outdoor Playhouse Program offers 1-3 day field trip educational programs for youth in second grade through high school. The popular "Black Bear" program is a one-day field trip for pre-K to first grade youth.

Programs at the Center bring science to life in this living laboratory.  Groups of "campers" observe, explore and interact with nature in an informal setting of experiential learning.  The 4-H Environmental Education Curriculum can serve as a guide for your outdoor experiences, or you can design your own.  Skills necessary for the careful use of our natural resources are taught during custom-designed programs in soil and water conservation, forest and wildlife ecology, and other environmental topics.  Trained 4-H staff will design a hands-on learning experience for any age group.  This natural setting is an excellent way to gain a better understanding of our natural world.

Educational, Business, Family & Church Retreats

Ocala 4-H Center limits distraction and is a perfect place for business or educational groups to "get away" and concentrate on the lessons at hand.  The Center's meeting rooms are perfect for workshops and demonstrations.  The dining hall, outdoor pavilion and other areas of the facility are ideal for lectures, guest speakers and group presentations and small group learning or brainstorming sessions.

Challenge Adventure- Low Ropes Course

Ocala 4-H Center can provide the perfect opportunity for your group to develop teamwork skills through our Challenge Adventure Program. Personal development, problem solving, decision making, leadership and communication skills are improved through this program.  Teams are organized and must pull together to overcome a series of obstacles made of ropes, wires, poles and logs.  Throughout the challenge, participants may engage in camping, canoeing, hiking, orienteering, and other events.  Challenges can be adapted to meet individual needs and physical capabilities.  Trained facilitators emphasize and practice comprehensive safety procedures during these closely supervised programs.
