Total Number of Youth Participating in Florida 4-H in September 2002 through August 2003 was 241,487 youth. Spanning ages 5-18, the 4-H program is active in all of Florida's 67 counties and on the Seminole Tribes reservations in south Florida. Statistics below describe:

Adult and Teen Volunteers
Adult volunteers amplify the impact of paid county extension agents, enabling more youth to be reached and providing valuable mentors for young people. There were 13,889 adult volunteers active in 4-H, and 1,204 teen volunteers.

These statistics are from Florida 4-H's annual es-237 report for the Sept. 1, 2002 to August 31, 2003  program year. These numbers are compiled annually from county 4-H reports, which are based on 4-H enrollment.
