4-H Day at the State Capitol

Baker County 4-H'ers and State 4-H Ambassador Sara Brake talk to Capitol report. The interview was later seen all over Florida. UF President Charles Young meets the Gee Whiz Kids 4-H Club from Holmes County.





The Gee Whiz Kids 4-H'ers smile with Suzanne Wilson, Holmes County 4-H agent. State 4-H Council Secretary Kristen Braun and State 4-H Ambassador Sara Brake distribute fliers in front of the display showing 4-H alumni who are now in the House and Senate.


"Bud" Bronson accepts the 4-H Lifetime Achievement Award at the evening reception.

Comptroller Milligan sponsored the cabinet resolution honoring Florida 4-H and is a 4-H alumnus. Three 4-H banners hung from the third floor balcony in the capitol rotunda with 1500 "Take a Stand Against Violence" Pledge Cards.

Jackson County 4-H agent Heather Schultz and a 4-H'er receive a certificate for participating in the exhibits from Florida 4-H Foundation Board President Sam Ard. State Comptroller Milligan, Secretary of State Katherine Harris, Commissioner of Agriculture Terry Rhodes, and Governor Jeb Bush share a light moment before the 4-H resolution. They are all wearing 4-H emblems with pride. 






The cabinet listens to the resolution reading honoring 4-H. Florida 4-H Foundation President Sam Ard, Florida 4-H Foundation Executive Director Lane Jimison, and State 4-H Leader Damon Miller look at the resolution before the reading.






4-H'ers crowd the gallery to see the 4-H Day resolution passed by Governor Bush and the cabinet. Members on the House floor show the 4-H pride by wearing 4-H stickers.
