Judson Minear

Judson Minear has been involved in 4-H since the late 1930s and plans to stay involved for years to come. He has been a member of the Martin County 4-H Foundation since its inception in the 1970s. As a former dairyman and 4-H member from Palm Beach and Martin counties he recognizes the importance of agriculture in the community and the value of 4-H. He has helped with numerous fund-raisers, programs, workshops and the Martin County Fair. Minear uses his contacts in the community to obtain money for college scholarships to for youth. “Having joined 4-H at age 10 and taking on the responsibility of a poultry project I learned management skills and in turn this helped build character for which I am grateful. Being active in our local 4-H Foundation has also been a fulfilling experience,” Minear said. During his lifetime he has been an active and committed community member as a friend and supporter of all agricultural agencies. He held many offices in the Martin County Fair Association, the Dairy Herders Improvement Association, the Florida Jersey Cattle Club, and the Farm Bureau.
