Joe N. Busby

 

Joe N. Busby, Dean Emeritus, supported the 4-H program at local, state and national levels.  He created an organizational structure that was essential to the growth and success of the Florida 4-H Program.  As he progressed from assistant 4-H agent to statewide Florida Cooperative Extension Service director he was selected for the National Sea Grant Advisory Panel. Busby is a member of the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy Legislature sub-committee, which charts policy for the Cooperative Extension Service at a national level. He is a director and past-president of the Florida 4-H Foundation. Joe served his country and rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force. He received the “Oak Leaf Cluster” and the “Distinguished Flying Cross.” He is a member of Gamma Sigma Delta. Alpha Zeta, the Horticultural Society and the Florida Academy of  Science.
