Sandra Brubaker

Sandra Brubaker was a role model for her peers as  a 4-H member and continued to standout during her career. Her dedication to work ethic and community involvement made her a leader for younger 4-Hers who wanted to achieve their goals. The positive attitude, care and concern she exuded for others also helped them achieve their goals. No challenge was too big for this energetic leader. As the energy specialist in Palm Beach County Brubaker worked to produce programs for energy conservation and waste reduction through recycling. In college she wrote numerous educational articles while she was a research assistant and teaching aide. As a 4-H'er she said, “4-H is my life growing more each year.” She felt she had an obligation to put back into 4-H what she received. Her dedication and willingness to help others along with her love of 4-H was a great asset to St. Johns County 4-H. Sandy Brubaker also worked as a volunteer motivator and fundraiser with the American Cancer Society. She received the “courage award” for involvement and determination as a cancer survivor. During her life she helped develop sports and recreation opportunities for handicapped youth through the United Amputee Services Association.
