Reginald
L. Brown, "Reggie," was an Alachua County 4-H member from
1958-1966 and won numerous awards in the 4-H program. He completed 64 projects including poultry judging, land
judging and leadership. He attended National 4-H Conference and was active
in supporting 4-H as a multi-county extension agent and as county
extension director in Collier County. Brown provided industry support
during his professional career in excess of $58,000 to support the 4-H
Foundation. He has served as membership and marketing director of the
Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association and is currently Executive Vice
President of the Florida Tomato Exchange. Reggie Brown is a founding board
member of the Florida Agriculture Conferences and Tradeshow, Graduate and
member of the board of directors for the Florida Agriculture and Natural
Rsources Leadership program, past president and founding board member of
the University of Florida Agriculture Alumni &Friends, and is the
current president of the Florida Agriculture Hall of Fame. “4-H provides
the opportunity to develop skills and explore opportunities for personal
involvement in building a better tomorrow,” Brown said.
