Florida 4-H offers youth 5-18 a variety of projects and activities in several areas of clothing and textiles.  The objectives of Clothing projects are for  4-H'ers to develop knowledge, skills and practices relating to:

• choosing clothing, whether handmade or purchased;

• care of clothing;

• poise, self-confidence in personal development and appearance; and 

• making good consumer decisions

General Clothing and Textiles Projects...
general projects not specific to one area of knowledge or skills

 

Clothing construction or Sewing Projects...where youth learn to sew

 

Clothing Choices and Selection Projects...where youth learn to select ready-to-wear clothing as a consumer.
