Camp Cherry Lake is a place to grow, find peace and make friends. Located on a scenic lake, Cherry Lake's rustic cabins open-air pavilion and dining hall are nestled among live oaks on gently sloping bank. 

Camp Cherry Lake is open year-round and may be reserved for: 

  • Business Meetings
  • Civic Organizations
  • School Field Trips
  • Teacher Workshops
  • Family Reunions
  • Athletic Events
  • Youth Groups
  • Church Retreats

Camp Cherry Lake can provide a number of opportunities including:

  • Auditorium with stage, screen, sound system, projector, and TV, and seats 200.
  • Dining Hall with climate control, seating 150.
  • Overnight accommodations in 14 rustic cabins sleeping 8 each.
  • Staff cabins with climate control.
  • Outdoor pavilion with large barbecue grill.
  • Campfire circle.
  • Waterfront facilities with canoes, fishing and a public boat ramp.
  • Two ball fields and Sports/Recreational equipment available upon request.
  • Food service is also available.

Environmental Education
Programs at the Center bring science to life in this living laboratory.  Groups of "campers" observe, explore and interact with nature in an informal setting of experiential learning.  4-H Environmental Education Curriculum can serve as a guide for your outdoor experiences, or you can design your own.  The 4-H Energy Education Center provides an opportunity for young people to explore energy related resources through hands-on demonstrations and activities.  Examples of activities and topics include: "The Science of Energy", "Energy Cycle", solar energy demonstrations, energy efficient lighting systems and compost recycling projects.  These programs are designed to help develop an awareness and respect for the environment which could be considered a prerequisite to the resolution of environmental problems. 

is affordable and tranquil.  Its private beach and boat dock allow all ages to safely interact while having fun.  Because the facilities may be reserved for private parties, picnics or reunions, the camping experience may be used to reaffirm family values and traditions.  Cherry Lake limits distractions and is the perfect place to hold meetings or in-service sessions for educators.  It's private facilities can accommodate promotional meetings, team development through adult Challenge Adventure programs, ice breakers or private programs. 

can help participants develop team skills and self-esteem through a variety of activities including the camps low ropes course, where teams pull together to overcome a maze of ropes, wires, logs and poles.  This series of obstacles enhance problem-solving, decision-making, leadership and communication skills.
