This project guide is for 4-H members ages 9-11, and is the first in the Swine "Skills for Life" series.  Growing with Swine will teach 4-H'ers the breeds of swine, body parts, how to judge swine, budgeting, building facilities for a pig, about the digestive system, the different pork by-products, how to feed, show and market swine, and career shadowing in the swine industry. Swine 2 - "Skills for Life" Becoming Swine Smart

"Skills for Life" Pig Pattern 4HCCS BU-7201 Ordering INFO
This swine project training aid will help 4-H members make their own model swine by using the pattern in the book.  Activities that can be demonstrated on the swine are administering medication, identifying parts of the swine, and many others.  This teaching aid should be used in conjunction with the Swine "Life Skills" series 4H CCS 6158, 6159, 6160, and 6161.
