Water Wise Guys

This publication is for 4-H members ages 9-11 years old.  Water Wise Guys will help 4-H'ers to understand the environmental and economic issues associated with water conservation and quality.  The concepts that are focused on will be; the importance of water, the water cycle, water use in the home, outdoor water conservation, and water quality.

WR2 Give Water a Hand  4W11 Ordering INFO
Give Water a Hand is a national youth water education program developed in 1984 to engage young people in community-based, natural resource projects. The materials are guides for planning community involvement and action. This curriculum seeks to provide youth with the investigative, planning, and implementations skills need for effective action. The guide shows youth and their leaders how to access local resources and exposes youth to careers in environmental management. Produced by University of Wisconsin and distributed by National 4-H Council. Juried and in the National 4-H Curriculum Collection.

Helps youth develop specific attitudes, learn cause and effect relationships, increase their natural curiosity, suspend judgment, search for answers and approach problems with open minds while learning about water, its properties and its role in maintaining life. 

Soil, Water and Land Use

This project series uses PC computer software to teach high school students about soil properties and their effects on pesticide behavior and movement.
